Who is Michael Steele?! (It’s Worth 1,000 words)

gopnosteele2David Patterson (D-NY), governor of New York, appointed Congresswoman Kirsten Gillibrand to fill Hillary Clinton’s position in the US Senate. He set the election date for March 20th – giving candidates only a few weeks to campaign. Jim Tidesco, (R-NY) is running a campaign that would make Norm Coleman (R-MN) proud: “Slimier than ever!” and Scott Murphy (D-NY) is behind in the polls by about 7 points. (Hint: NY-20th is a heavy Republican district. Trailing 7-points is pretty darned good!)

Conventional wisdom is strongly held that the Republican Party is holding its breath until after that election. The game plan is simple: Hold a “No Confidence Vote” for Michael Steele to make him “go away”…Think “Hudson River and Cement-galoshes”. (The No Confidence Vote was initially floated by SC’s Katon Dawson (R-SC); a man who magically realized that he was a member of a whites-only country club and thought it was naughty and racism was “wrong”.) Apparently, Michael Steele’s ideas of attracting racial minorites, being anti-homophobic and thinking pro-choice thoughtsFruitFly 6 are in danger of attracting Republican-voters that the RNC just doesn’t want.

Obviously, Michael Steele, the Chair of the Republican National Convention won’t be missed.

The picture is hysterical: It only took 0.01 seconds for the GOP.com website to tell you that it’s never heard of a “Micheal Steele”. It’s the antithesis for “cohesion”. I’m going out on a limb here and guess that if you searched “Rush Limbaugh” on that website you’d crash the server in 0.01 seconds…

Sen Coleman: Leaking credit card data of 50,000+ contributers!!

The ineptitude of this man is shocking. Hrmmm…Stunning. Umm… RIDICULOUS!

On my PC, I have two files – one which holds over 51,000 names of people who’ve donated to Norm Coleman’s campaigns over the past decade.  The other file, an additional 4,700.

You want to snoop?  Help yourself!  They’re laying wide open on Wikileaks‘ website.

I’ll make it easier for you:  Click here for the big one and click here for the littler one.  You know me; I’m gay…I went right for the big one first!  (…check out the little one in case I get hungry later!)

Joe Bodell, over at MN Progressive Project broke it, near as I can tell.  Joe writes:

Back in January, in what appeared to be a public relations stunt, Norm Coleman’s campaign/recount team accidentally revealed their technical ineptitude and their supporter/donor database for the world to see.

In the ineptitude’s case, not such a big deal. But revealing donor information? Kind of a big deal.

Now WikiLeaks.org is publishing the database, along with a suggestion to those found in it that they cancel the listed credit cards.  The database does not appear to contain full credit card numbers, only the last four digits and the three-digit security code.

Interesting, huh?  Joe goes on to say that two letters were published by Wiki, the first explaining to these “Hapless Republican” contributors that their credit card information been compromised and the second letter going on to say:

Following our earlier email over the Coleman leak, we have discovered that all on-line Coleman contributors had their full credit card details released onto the Internet on 28 of Jan, 2009 by Coleman’s staff.

Senator Coleman was made aware of this yet elected not to inform supporters in violation of Minnesota Statute 325E.61…

We provide proof of here (Windows Excel spreadsheet), which if you are a contributor will provide the last 4 digits of your Credit card and the security numbers on the back.

Nice.  Coleman knew it and he decided he wasn’t going to tell anybody about it.  It’s just nice to know how well Coleman will take care of the public in Minnesota, when he’s willing to throw 56,000 of his own contributors under the buss and just walk away.  Wiki is out there doing the “Lord’s work” by trying to be proactive here – and Coleman…Shoot, if it isn’t money from his buddy Kazeminy – then who the hell cares?!  Hrmm…wait a minute!

Searching both files for Kazeminy’s name  and I come up with zilch.  Aapparently his donations aren’t kept in this file.  This must be the two files Coleman keeps on the “scum” and the “peasant” Republicans.

Anyway – after Team Wiki did everything they were supposed to do and Coleman wouldn’t, Team Coleman came out with a response (wearing fire-engine pajama bottoms with the little feet attached and a white top with little red trucks printed on it, I’ve been told):

“We contacted federal authorities at that time, and they reviewed logs from the server in question as well as additional firewall logs,” campaign manager Cullen Sheehan said. “They indicated that, after reviewing those logs, they did not find evidence that our database was downloaded by any unauthorized party.

“Let me be very clear: At this point, we don’t know if last evening’s e-mail is a political dirty trick or what the objective is of the person who sent the e-mail.

“What we do know, however, is that there is a strong likelihood that these individuals have found a way to breach private and confidential information.”:

The federal government showed up and reviewed the logs on the server as well as the firewall logs?  They didn’t find evidence that their database(s) were download by any unauthorized party?!?! What are you talking about?! Because…the Feds didn’t find anything wrong, then nothing is wrong?!  You left the person and private information of over 50,000 contributors to your campaign, including their credit card information and the three-digit code on the backs of those cards and all you have to say is; “oopsie”?!

Joe Bodell said it so much better than I could – Joe?  …Take it away, please:

Coleman campaign manager Cullen Sheehan is clearly confused in his response to this latest event, since the reason the database was publicly available was precisely because the campaign HAD NO FIREWALLS PROTECTING THAT DATA.

HA!  HA!   In all caps even!!

Aaron Landry over at MNPublius takes it one step farther by noting Sheehan is lying his nasty little ass off:

  1. Firewalls have nothing to do with it. Firewalls do not manage permissions on where this database was stored. In fact, it’s quite possible this database wasn’t even behind a firewall.
  2. If they did indeed review their server logs, those logs would indicate that people were at accessing the directory that contained this database. How do I know? There’s screenshots that prove it.

He’s right! Here it is!

coleman-databaseWe need to do two things:

  • We need to collect all of these email addresses, all 56,000 of them, and put them on a “Jesus Loves You” spammer list.  One of those heavy hitters.
  • And we need to email Laurie Coleman and remind her to keep working really hard because “HER HUSBAND IS A FREAKING IDIOT!!!!”

FruitFly 6I’m keepin these two files for a really long time.  Who needs Open Secrets when you’ve got cybergold like this?

Jim Cramer (Mad Money Ghuru) admits to manipulating stock markets

The Huffington Post has dug up this little gem:

After complaining about Jon Stewarts’ skewering him on a comedy show, Cramer has proven to be a bigger dirtbag than previously assumed.  Cramer brags about manipulating the market:

(Cramer) calls it “a fun game, and it’s a lucrative game.” He suggests all hedge fund managers do the same. “No one else in the world would ever admit that, but I could care. I am not going to say it on TV,” he quips in the video.

He also calls Wall Street Journal reporters “bozos” and says behaving illegally is okay because the SEC doesn’t understand it anyway.

Why isn’t this guy  in jail?!

The Huffington Post frames Cramer’s views nicely:

  • -On manipulating the market: “A lot of times when I was short at my hedge fund, and I was positioned short, meaning I needed it down, I would create a level of activity before hand that could drive the futures,”
  • -On falsely creating the impression a stock is down (what he calls “fomenting”): “You can’t foment. That’s a violation… But you do it anyway because the SEC doesn’t understand it.” He adds, “When you have six days and your company may be in doubt because you are down, I think it is really important to foment.”
  • -On the truth: “What’s important when you are in that hedge fund mode is to not be doing anything that is remotely truthful, because the truth is so against your view – it is important to create a new truth to develop a fiction,” Cramer advises. “You can’t take any chances.”

This guy needs to be locked up.

fruitfly21On March 9th, Cramer sent a memo to Bill Mahr where he complains:

“Stop insulting my faux great-great-uncle Vlad Lenin. I am using him to dramatize the point of a failed nationalization and confiscation of the banks at the hands of the people. It is funny how the right is certainly very civil as my old friends and new allies as of last week, Fred Barnes and Sean Hannity, don’t hold my left wing social view against me when they talk about my criticism of the president! I always love anyone from Fox on the team because they are fierce in their defense with much less gratuitous slamming.”

Ben Folds: You don't know me
What a disgusting Republican turd.  He’s convinced greedy people to spend friviolously on the stock market, lost them mllions of dollars and now he’s clinging to Right Wing douchebags and complaining that people on the “Left” don’t like it.  …That those “Lefties” have no right to criticize him on anything.

Throw this douche in the slammer!

Iron Chef Cat Cora and her wife are both pregnant!

I never knew Cat Cora was “family”! From the Celebrity Baby Blog;

The couple’s new sons are from the same sperm donor as their older boys, Caje, 23 months and Zoran, 5. Zoran and the baby Cat is carrying are from Jennifer’s eggs, while Caje is from Cat’s. In Jennifer’s current pregnancy, both women’s embryos were transferred, so the biological mother is unknown. The couple do not to plan to conduct DNA testing to determine this.

“[Jennifer] carried my embryo and I carried hers,” Cat explains. “It’s like surrogating, but obviously all of our kids are equal.”

“It’s really crazy! We decided that having them a year apart is harder than having kids as infants together.”

…Awwww.  Isn’t that just the sweetest thing you’ve ever heard?  Luckily for them, they don’t live in Minnesota where the church will tell you what you can and can’t do with your private life.

Now can you imagine living in that house right about now? TLC: Baby Baby Baby With both parents being hormonal all of the time?  Holy crap!  I’d be the kid running around with pillows strapped around my limbs and torso with a motorcycle helmet on my head.

Depression: We’re on the brink!

Give ol’ Arlen Specter credit for his honesty. Not a lot of Republicans out there who can do that these days! Compare Specter’s words here to Michele Bachmann’s latest screech: “We’re running out of rich people in this country!!!” Not a lot of honest Republicans with a real pair of cajones willing to be up front and honest with the American public.

I feel like I’m living in 1928 and we’re all sitting on a braided rug in our grandparents living room floor and we’re all focused on a giant-sized AM radio while the President gives us this bad-news.Little River Band; Lonesom Loser

George W Bush: He didn’t break the military, he didn’t break the airline industry, he didn’t break Social Security, he simply broke the Planet.

Ah…Another Republican caught with a prostitute

Nice.  Hannity hanging with his whores…

afire_kandi_sean_karla_afaOooo!! Look!  Here’s a picture of Sean Hannity with a prostitute and I think he’s got an erection!

hannity-bunny-ranch2<sigh> yeah, sadly – it doesn’t take an awful lot of effort to cover up poor Sean’s tallywacker.  He’s hung like a cashew!

You can see all of these XXX-rated photos by running off to the Bunny Ranch to see their “family photos” of other Republican perverts who frequent the establishment to review their, ehem, “Strong American family values”!

His Wiki says he’s married to a “woman” named Jill Rhodes.  No argument there.  I mean; there’s not a lot of Republicans these days who seem to worry about Herpes, HIV and clamidia. Have you seen Larry Craig’s wife talking about sexually trasmitted diseases lately?  David Vitter’s wife?!?  Exactly what I’m talking about.  Perhaps that’s what’s really going on: FruitFly 6These Republicans are marrying the whores that they frequent in brothels throughout the country  and the concern over STD’s is simply irrelevant!

In Hannity’s case, the train has left “Sandpaper Sally’s Ally” and it’s apparently pulled into “Pineapple Peter Station”!

Bush-era “voter suppression lawsuit” dropped by Obama in MO.

Cool ChangeA lawsuit brought on by the Bush Administration aimed at Missouri’s Secretary of State’s office was dropped yesterday by Obama’ Attorney General.

The U.S. Department of Justice lawsuit contended that Missouri election officials did not follow a federal law that requires reasonable efforts be made to remove ineligible people from the rolls. The suit contends that because that did not happen, people who have moved or died might still be eligible to vote.

Federal lawyers wrote that the evidence currently in hand is dated and might not reflect the current situation in Missouri.

In 2007, the case became embroiled in the controversy over the firing of U.S. attorneys by President George W. Bush’s administration. Former Republican U.S. Attorney Todd Graves said he clashed with top Justice officials when he questioned the merits of the suit.

more cool changeThe President of the United States also ordered that government officials should stop relying on Bush’s controversial “signing statements” and cautioned them to consult with the US Attorney General as for their legitimacy.   In the NY Times today:

Mr. Bush frequently used signing statements to declare that provisions in the bills he was signing were unconstitutional constraints on executive power, claiming that the laws did not need to be enforced or obeyed as written. The laws he challenged included a torture ban and requirements that Congress be given detailed reports about how the Justice Department was using the counter-terrorism powers in the USA Patriot Act.

FruitFly 6It’s like a slow cool breeze on a summer’s night in the Deep South, isn’t it?   The later in the evening, the less you want to think about how hot it was that day and how hard you had to work.  The Obama Administration seems to be slowly, and finally getting rid of the Bush Smell that has stunk up the White House and the country.
